Carly’s Christmas Gift Guide
Want to buy a thoughtful gift for someone who you know is trying to make some healthy changes in their life? I personally think it would be brilliant to receive something that is actually going to make me feel better and give me a helping hand, which is why I’ve put together this little guide for you*.
For a fit, strong & future-proof body
I had to start with this (sorry, shameless plug for my own work 😂). By popular demand, you can now buy a voucher for either 3 or 6 months’ class membership, for one or both of my Online Fitness classes. This is a gift that’s going to keep on giving, well into the new year- Link to buy
For a better night’s sleep
Magnesium products are fantastic for those of us who struggle with sleep and our moods (thanks, perimenopause!). It’s very well absorbed through the skin (meaning you don’t have to take it in tablet form) and there are some lovely products on the market which are nice to use, as well as boosting your levels. I like the Better You Magnesium range and the Neom body butters smell absolutely gorgeous.
To work on your strength
The question I’m asked the most often is what weights I would recommend for a Strength class and where to buy them. I really like a neoprene coated handle on my weights (much kinder on my hands than metal) and a hex shape so they don’t roll away mid-exercise! Mirafit and Metis are two of my favourite brands. I’ve bought others, but I always come back to these! They’re good value as well (dumbbells aren’t cheap, I know, but they are in an investment in your body!).
The BEST leggings
I also get lots of messages asking me where I buy my leggings! It’s fair to say that I have quite a few pairs 😬 and they definitely get a good road test as I am in them every day as a PT (and even when I’m not training, too!). I love Women’s Best active wear. Their leggings come in an array of beautiful colours and they have a great range of sizes in stock too (I like the Power style). They’re super comfortable and stretchy, a flattering fit and, as my mum would say - they wash well! Their bras and hoodies are also really nice and good value, too.
Healthy Meals in a Hurry
I’ve shared my love of the Sarah Rossi “What’s For Dinner” books and her blog (Taming Twins) with my Perimenopause Reboot crew and to say they went down a storm is a massive understatement (“they have changed my life”, wrote one Rebooter!). Sarah’s a busy mum who writes amazing recipes in a really easy to follow way with lots of tips, hacks and shortcuts which are going to make your life easier and just make cooking more from scratch completely attainable. They even include a meal plan and shopping list. Do I need to say more?!
To weather the winter
Last but not least, lots of us find the winter months hard (myself included) and I absolutely love this beautiful book from the fabulous Suzy Reading - Self Care for Winter . It’s packed full of tips and techniques to help us feel better through the colder, darker months. I love it and keep dipping into it. I reckon it would make a really lovely gift.
Hope this helps my friends. Happy shopping and here’s to a fit, healthy and happy 2025!
*None of these are sponsored or gifted to me, they are things that I genuinely use and buy myself.
