I know exactly how you feel, in fact, this describes me, just a few years ago. Before that, I was confident in my body and thought I knew what worked for me. 

It was like I’d hit my 40s and everything changed. Nothing seemed to work anymore. It was like my body was running a different programme and I didn’t have access to the instruction manual! As it turned out, I was experiencing the perimenopause.

I didn’t want to accept that this was “it”, all downhill from here. So I set about trying to find methods, strategies and techniques that could help me and other women going through the same thing. I researched, researched (and then did some more research!). Then I started putting what I’d learned into practice. I’ll be honest, some of it worked, some of it didn’t! But over time I’ve learnt what truly moves the needle. I've cracked the code and this is the essence of the Perimenopause Reboot - a set of "buttons and levers"—simple actions that can make you feel incredible. 

It is no exaggeration that I now feel 100x better than I did, just a few years ago and I have messages from the women working with me who tell me they feel the same.

I firmly believe that this can be a time for really positive change,  we can look ahead to an exciting, vibrant future and truly thrive, well into our later life. We can choose to feel differently.

And I’m now sharing what I’ve learned, as I know it can make a huge difference to you, too.

“Here we go, another person trying to sell me a miracle cure". And trust me, I understand. I'm not promising a quick fix or a magic pill (because these sadly do not exist!). Perimenopause is complex, and every woman's experience is unique. Hormone fluctuations are normal, and there's no one-size-fits-all solution. Nor is it realistic to think we can entirely rid our lives of stress, be guaranteed a perfect night’s sleep every single night or skip through the day like Snow White!

But staying where you are now? I know that’s not an option for you either. You can’t go on like this when you deserve to feel so much better.

I’ll be totally honest - feeling better doesn’t come from a quick fix or buying the latest “miracle” product or programme. It doesn’t come from ploughing on with the things you did in your 20s and 30s either (and in fact: this can make things worse!). Instead, it comes from a deep understanding of what is going on in your body, using simple (often free!) techniques and applying them consistently - working with your body and not against it.

You’re a smart, capable woman. You could undoubtedly spend countless hours researching, trying different approaches, and experimenting to find your way through perimenopause. But let’s be honest: it’s exhausting and your time is precious. You could dive deep into books, social media, podcasts, and products, only to find yourself feeling overwhelmed, discouraged and no further forwards.

Here’s how we’re going to do it!

Here’s how the Reboot works:

  • Your hormones may be changing but you will become the expert on your own body, knowing exactly what works for you (and what doesn’t!), cutting through all the “noise” out there with total clarity.

  • This is a hugely practical course, and I’m going to teach you the things that you can implement right away to start to feel fitter, stronger, healthier and happier. You’ll get my expert eyes on where you are right now and this is where the magic happens as I’ll tell you exactly what you need to do to get to where you want to be, no faffing about! 

  • We’ll be coming at perimenopause from all angles. Exercise is just one aspect of this, but we’ll also be looking at nutrition, sleep and rest as well as how you can build more of the fun stuff into your everyday life because this isn’t a punishing regime that’s going to have you saying “no” to everything.

  • We’re going to build a bespoke toolkit of techniques that you can dip into as and when you need them. I promise these won’t take up all your time and will fit around your busy life and all the things you’re juggling.

  • We’ll be working on your mindset, tapping into the latest science on habit building to really make every change you make stick.

Weekly live training

FAQs

I can’t make the weekly live Zoom sessions - is this a problem?

No - there’s no obligation to come along to the lives, although they’re perfect to listen into on your lunchbreak, if you fancy a little boost! The purpose of these is for me to introduce our weekly topic and teach you the tools and techniques we will be putting into practice.

There will be the opportunity for you to ask questions at the end, but you can do this at any time either on our private group (where you can chat with other Rebooters) or by dropping me an email so you won’t be missing out. You’ll have access to the replay so you can watch the live back at a time that suits you along with the slides, as well as access to the audio on its own, if you’d rather listen when you’re walking the dog! The same goes for our workouts - all of these are available on demand.

I think I’m probably in the late stages of perimenopause or am post-menopause - will the Reboot still benefit me?

When we’re post-menopause and sometimes in the latter stages of the perimenopause, our hormones become more settled (less of the rollercoaster effect we can feel in the perimenopause years!) but they will settle at a low level, so many symptoms we’ve experienced before will persist. The tools and techniques we can use to help these symptoms will be the same and the Reboot will definitely still help.

Is there homework on the Reboot? How much time will it take up?

Yes - but don’t worry,  I’m not going to ask you to hand it in! In putting the Reboot together I’ve tried to be very mindful that we all have busy lives and I don’t want to overwhelm you with too much. However, I would say that you really will get out of the Perimenopause Reboot what you put in and the best results are going to come where you make time each week to watch the workshops, do the workouts and take time to think about and put into practice the strategies we discuss. I think you’ll find it will be well worth the effort and I hope you’ll have fun along the way and enjoy the process.

How does the Perimenopause Reboot differ from your Online Fitness Classes?

My online fitness classes are tailored to women over the age of 40 and our unique training needs. BUT - exercise is only part of the jigsaw puzzle when it comes to this time in our lives.  The Perimenopause Reboot is a holistic, full body and mindset programme and is designed to complement my Online Classes, which you’ll have full access to throughout the duration of the course and you can of course sign up to continue with the classes when the Reboot finishes, too! I expect many of you will already be doing other fitness activities outside of the Reboot which is absolutely great - my classes will enhance what you’re already getting from your usual regime.

Hi, I’m Carly….

I’ve been a personal trainer working exclusively with women for 10 years. Before that, I had a very different career as a lawyer and the attention to detail and professionalism which were instilled in me as part of my legal training still hold true today! 

I wasn’t the sporty kid at school and only came to love exercise in my university days, but it was trying to recover my fitness after having my two children which led me to take the first steps on the path to a career in the health and fitness industry. I qualified as a PT whilst on maternity leave, the first of many qualifications I’ve subsequently obtained in the health and fitness world, and I haven’t looked back since!

I’ve always specialised in women’s health (as I find our incredible, but often confounding, bodies so interesting!). Perimenopause hit me hard around the time I turned 40. Experiencing the effects myself and hearing my clients' and friends’ experiences gave me the nudge I needed to investigate further what exactly is happening to our bodies in this period and what we can do to help ourselves.  I have a stubborn refusal to believe that “this is it” and it’s all downhill from here. I truly believe that we can live long, healthy, happy and fulfilled lives and the best is yet to come! 

I’m passionate about helping other women who are going through this time in their lives. I want to show them that there is a way through and we can absolutely thrive.
